Patrick M. Wright

Patrick Wright is Thomas C. Vandiver Bicentennial Chair in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina and the Faculty Director of the Center for Executive Succession. He teaches, conducts research, and consults in the area of Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM), particularly focusing on how firms use people as a source of competitive advantage and the changing nature of the Chief HR Officer role.

 

 

 

 

 

Audrey Korsgaard

Audrey Korsgaard (Ph.D., New York University, 1990) is Professor and chair of the Management Department at the Darla Moore School of Business Her research focuses on building trust and managing conflict in leader-follower relationships and within teams.  

 

 

 

 

 

Mark Maltarich

Mark Maltarich has been at the University of South Carolina's Darla Moore School of Business since 2013. His research interests include human capital and the study of work in teams. He earned his PhD at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and holds an MBA from DePaul University and a B.A. in Psychology from Northwestern University.

 

 

 

 

 

Anthony Nyberg

Anthony J. Nyberg is an Associate Professor at the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, where he teaches Negotiations, Compensation, and Strategic Human Resources. His research focuses on human capital, primarily within strategic human resource management with emphases on performance, compensation, employee movement, international human resources, and executive succession.

 

 

 

 

 

Robert Ployhart

Dr. Robert E. Ployhart is the Bank of America Professor in Business Administration at the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business.  He is an internationally-known HR scholar with a focus on recruitment, personnel selection, staffing-related legal issues, and employee/leadership development. Dr. Ployhart is also an active consultant and has worked with private and public organizations on all types of staffing and HR topics.

 

 

 

 

 

Elizabeth Ravlin

Elizabeth C. Ravlin is on the faculty of the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina. She received her Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University. Her research examines multicultural interactions, interpersonal and team processes, work values, and status influences in organization.

 

 

 

 

 

Donald J. (DJ) Schepker

Donald J. (DJ) Schepker is an Assistant Professor of Strategic Management at the Darla Moore School of Business.  His research interests include executive dismissal, executive succession, corporate governance, board level decision making processes, and individual and organizational reputation.

 

 

 

 

 

Sherry M. B. Thatcher

Sherry M.B. Thatcher is a Professor of Business Administration and a Moore Business Partnership Foundation Fellow in the Management Department of the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. She received her Ph.D. in organizational behavior from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research revolves around teams and includes creativity,diversity faultlines, identity, the social effects of computer communication technologies, and conflict. Her research has been funded by both private and public organizations, including the National Science Foundation and she is currently an Associate Editor for The Academy of Management Review.
