Tim Carroll (Ph.D., Duke University, 2002) is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Management at the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. He is also Director of the PMBA program.
Dr. Carroll's research centers on issues in organizational adaptation, organization design and strategy. His research has been published in several academic journals, and he serves on the editorial boards of Organization Science, Computational and Mathematical Organization Theory, and the Journal of Organization Design.
Dr. Carroll is an award winning teacher, and has taught strategy and organizational behavior at all levels ranging from undergraduates to executives. He has provided consulting and executive education to companies in the aerospace, banking, computer, construction, energy, engineering services, insurance, media, petroleum, pharmaceutical, railroad and restaurant industries, as well as several government agencies.
Prior to joining the faculty in 2006, Dr. Carroll was on the faculty at Georgia Institute of Technology. Before earning his Ph.D., he consulted with McKinsey & Co., working with clients in the health care and technology industries.
