Letter from FAD Chair, Tim Gallagher
Dear Alumni and Friends,
As you know, our School of Accounting at the University of South Carolina remains strong because of the ongoing partnership between alumni, firms and our dedicated faculty. Many of us can trace the foundation of our professional success to our time at the School of Accounting, and each year we have an opportunity to participate in sustaining that foundation for the next generation of accounting professionals.
The Friends of Accounting (FAD) Board actively supports and advises the school including its faculty and student organizations. So far this year we have committed over $10,000 from the FAD Unrestricted Fund to support Beta Alpha Psi and the student chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants. In addition, we are working with the faculty on more active involvement of alumni in course projects and lectures. I invite you to join us with your partnership. One of the most immediate ways that you can have a direct impact is through your FAD Unrestricted Fund gifts this year (BPF #201).
In addition to the FAD Unrestricted Fund, alumni support provides funds for scholarships and fellowships, student professional development opportunities and research support to our faculty through the Center for Advancement of Accounting and designated scholarship funds These funds allow us to remain competitive and attract the best students and best teaching talent. Together we can make a big impact on today's students and faculty,.
Whether you support the Friends of Accounting (FAD), the Center for the Advancement of Accounting, or simply the Moore School of Business annual fund, please know that your gift will be used to benefit today's students and be a meaningful return on your investment.
Please join with me and the rest of the FAD Board with your gift today.
Timothy P. Gallagher
FAD Chair, 2015-2016
