PwC's Diversity Internship Program
Start is just the first step in PwC's Internship Experience.
Start will enable you to utilize your problem solving, analytical, research and organizational skills to understand business and assist teams in real life projects focused on knowledge management, serving our clients, and internal firm services initiatives that support PwC's business development. Participants will gain exposure to our partners, principals, and staff through networking events, social media, and formal and informal shadowing opportunities. They will "live" corporate responsibility while participating in community service projects. They will also participate in professional development opportunities and technical development exercises.
To be eligible to apply, you must be a college freshman, sophomore or junior from a traditionally under-represented racial and ethnic minority group within the accounting, auditing, or professional consulting services industries. You must also have a strong academic standing (3.3 GPA or higher is preferred) and currently be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or one of the STEM majors (preferably Computer or Management Information Systems). Limited opportunities may be available for Finance, Economics, and Actuarial Science majors as well.

PwC's Leadership Program

Elevate is a selective program for high-achieving college students interested in learning about a fast-paced career in the professional services industry. Embark on a journey of self-discovery and career exploration alongside PwC professionals and students from across the country.
Applicants should be a sophomore in a four year program or a junior in a five year program with a preferred GPA of 3.4 or higher. Applicants should be an accounting major.

Elliott Davis Decosimo Summer Leadership Experience
May 22-24, 2017 • Charlotte, NC
ENCOMPASS is a three-day program designed to help student expand their leadership potential and sharpen their career focus. Participants will interact with students from various universities in a collaborative environment, network with Elliott Davis Decosimo professionals, and learn from dynamic and engaging presenters. By the end of the experience, participants will have a deeper understanding of what it means to be an effective leader and influencer on campus, in the community and in their future career.
Applicants should major or intend to major in Accounting, hold a GPA of 3.2 or higher and have a sophomore or junior status. All costs associated with the program including travel, lodging and meals will be covered by Elliott Davis Decosimo.
Applications are due Feb. 3, 2017 and can be found on-line. On-campus interviews will be held February 13-14, 2017 and participant invitations will be send out March 13, 2017.

EY's Emerging Leaders Program

The Emerging Leaders Program is hosted in many locations across the country. Each program lasts 2-3 days and takes place between May and August, depending upon location. Sophomores and Juniors, along with Seniors in a five year program, studying accounting business or information technology are eligible to apply. They should also have a significant interest in professional services and a career in business.
Applicants should have high academic credentials, possess integrity, maturity, dependability and enthusiasm in the performance of responsibilities. They should be able to demonstrate analytical, teamwork and organizational skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.

Greer Walker Summer Leadership Program

While providing participants with a toolbox of information to use in building their future career in public accounting, the 2017 Believe Academy will provide an opportunity to interact closely with firm leaders, shadow tax and audit associates, as well as experience what life would be like living and working in Charlotte, NC.
The program is open to sophomore, junior and/or internship candidates who have declared or intend to declare accounting as t heir major and who currently have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Candidates should have a desire to continue their education in a graduate program and have an interest in starting a public accounting career in Charlotte.
Interested students should submit a completed application packet no later than Friday, March 17, 2017. Student may apply on-line, through HandShake, or email an application directly to Mindy Porter.

Dixon Hughes Goodman Summer Leadership Program

The Dixon Hughes Goodman Learn. Grow. Go. Conference includes not only a dynamic line-up of speakers, but also offers students opportunities for hands-on team building and community service activities.
The conference is open to sophomore and junior students who have declared or intend to declare accounting as t heir major and who currently have a GPA of 3.3 or higher. The ideal candidate should exhibit a desire to learn and be recognized as a leader among his/her peers.
Information about the conference, as well as the application, can be found on Dixon Hughes Goodman's Leadership Conference web site. The formal application process ends February 3, 2017 and applicants will be notified of their selection beginning March 6, 2017.

Grow with Grant Thornton is a way for students to gain insight into what life is like at Grant Thornton. Participants will experience Grant Thornton's culture firsthand, gain insight into the challenging and rewarding work they can expect as an intern or associate, and grown their network by interacting with firm leaders and professionals, as well as your peers.
Sophomore and Junior students who have declared or intend to declare accounting as their major and hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher are eligible to apply.
The application deadline is February 12, 2017. Applicants should apply through HandShake as well as the Grant Thornton web site.

PwC's Career Discovery Program

EXPLORE is a one-day program focused on helping participants identify and analyze their strengths, values and passions to better understand who they are and what they want to do. Students will learn alongside PwC professionals who will provide real-life examples of how they have enriched their careers by aligning their strengths, values and passions personally and professionally.
Applicants should be a freshman, sophomore or junior (in a five year program) with strong academic standing and currently considering pursing a Bachelors/Masters degree in business and/or STEM. Preferred majors include Accounting, Finance, STEM (Data/Business Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Actuarial Science, Technology Management Information Systems, and Security). Please note that an applicant's final graduation date must be December 2018 or later!

#CBconnect Summer Conference and Externships
Connect with Cherry Bekaert through their summer conference, providing student the opportunity to experience the real life challenges and excitement of the accounting profession. The program is open to juniors who have declared or intend to declare Accounting as their major and who have a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
The summer conference will be held May 21-23, 2017 and will include numerous opportunities to interact with professional at all levels of the Cherry Bekaert Audit, Tax, and Consulting service lines. This exciting summer adventure includes a dynamic lineup of speakers, opportunities for hands-on team building, a community service activity, and a look into the real life work experience in public accounting.
