Program Enhancement Fee

Since its founding in 1919, the Darla Moore School of Business has had a history of keeping pace with the ever-changing global market through a blend of academic preparation and real-world experience.  The school continues to earn international recognition by emphasizing cutting-edge business knowledge and skills with a strong liberal arts foundation, and a student-centered learning environment that includes global opportunities,cultural awareness, and language appreciation.

The Moore School has been severely impacted by state budget cuts during the past year. In addition, the costs of delivering our high-quality programs continue to increase. To enable us to remain competitive and continue building our quality programs, we  began incorporating a program enhancement fee, beginning with the Fall 2010 semester. This is consistent with similar fees at several other leading business schools, including Arizona State University, Auburn University, Indiana University and the University of Arkansas.

The  program enhancement fee provides undergraduate business students with a quality series of program and infrastructure enhancements. Because of the fee, business students enjoy the following:

  • Classroom enhancements and new learning-support technologies
  • Increased opportunities for real-world learning experiences
  • Expanded career development and placement services
  • Additional course offerings
  • New faculty with world-class expertise in their fields
  • Increased opportunities for specialized advisement based on student interests

A fee is assessed and billed with tuition, beginning with the student's first semester, and is charged every semester thereafter.
