Peace Corps Partnership

  The Darla Moore School of Business has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with the Peace Corps. Returned volunteers add a unique perspective to our International MBA cohort with their experiences in developing countries. Offering the unique opportunity to complete a rigorous MBA curriculum, language immersion and extensive international corporate consulting project, the International MBA provides you with the opportunity for a dynamic global career upon graduation.

Benefits for Returned Peace Corps Applicants:

  • Application fee waiver
  • Peace Corps service satisfies the two-year minimum work experience requirement if service is completed prior to the start of the International MBA
  • As part of the Global Leadership Fellows program all returned Peace Corps volunteers who are South Carolina residents who meet the criteria will receive a fellowship award of $2,500. All returning volunteers who are out-of-state residents who meet the criteria will be awarded a fellowship of $1,500 plus an additional award package with a value of approximately $28,170, which covers the difference between the in-state and out-of-state program fee rate for nonresidents. Additional funding opportunities may also be available for South Carolina residents and non-residents who are selected as a Global Leadership Fellow.
  • Two available fellowships covering up to 30 percent of the applicable program fee for returned Peace Corps volunteers, in addition to benefits outlined as part of the Global Leadership Fellows program. The two candidates, are selected based on the strength of their application.
