Criteria for Admission
The Darla Moore School of Business seeks to enroll diverse and qualified students. The MHR program enrolls students in the Fall session.
CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION
An earned undergraduate degree from an accredited institution is required to be considered for admission to the MHR program. The average undergraduate grade point average (GPA) is approximately 3.5. Graduate coursework and/or (whether degree has been earned or not) will also be taken into consideration. Transcripts from all institutions attended must be submitted to the Darla Moore School of Business.
GRE / GMAT
Applicants must provide a valid (five years old or less) Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) score or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) to be considered for admission to the MHR program. The GMAT and GRE are composed of verbal, qualitative, and analytical sections. You can learn more about the GMAT at www.mba.com. The institutional/program GMAT code for the school is: JV2-TP-36. If your college or university offers PDF delivery of transcripts, please provide them with director of admissions contact information to make sure the transcript considered official. You are welcome to upload an unofficial copy of your transcript to expedite the review of your application. If you are admitted, you will need to provide official transcripts from all institutions attended to finalize the admission process. Transcripts sent to individuals, other than the director of admissions, may not be considered official.

Professional Work ExperienceWork experience is not required for the MHR program. The program values all undergraduate internships or post-undergraduate work experiences.
Letters of Recommendation (2 required)Letters of recommendation are required for the admission review. It is acceptable to have either professional or academic letters of recommendation. However, it is encouraged that candidates submit professional letters of reference if possible.
EssaysThe application for admission requires a statement of purpose (500-word essay) which should outline why you want to earn the MHR degree. There is additional space to add a personal essay. This essay should be used to explain the circumstances of any part of your application where you feel the admissions committee might have concerns.
TOEFL/IELTSNon-U.S. candidates who do not hold a degree from a U.S. institution must submit a valid (two years old or less) test score demonstrating their command of the English language. The minimum score for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is 105 (Internet-based) and 7.5 for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
